Maher Wins King George V Gold Cup
Ben Maher of Great Britain has won this year's prestigious Longines King George V Gold Cup at Hickstead riding his impressive dark bay stallion Tripple X III.

Maher and the striking 11 year old stallion was one of only three competitors to produce a clear round in the first phase of competition and go through to the jump off, the other two competitors were German rider Marcus Ehning riding the versatile bay stallion Copin van de Broy and Ulrich Kirchhoff (UKR) riding the 12 year old mare Carlina.

However it was only Ben Maher who was able to produce an incredible clear round over the testing jump off track to clinch the title after both Ehning and Kirchhoff picked up four faults each to finish in second and third place respectively.
