Miller Wins The Hickstead Derby
This years prestigious Hickstead Derby has been won by Great Britain's Phillip Miller riding the striking 13 year old grey stallion Caritiar Z.

Miller and Caritiar who is owned by Mr N Eccles and Mrs D Cornish were the only combination to jump clear around the infamous track well known for its challenges which include jumps such as the Derby Bank and Devils Dyke.

Tied in second place were William Funnell (GBR) riding the Irish Sports Horse Dorada and Trevor Breen (IRL) riding the Belgian Warmblood Adventure de Kannan who was second on Friday in the Bunn Leisure Derby Trial for the Ben O'Meara Memorial Trophy.

Shane Breen picked up 12 faults riding the Selle Francais mare Ominerale Courcelle who was 7th in the Derby Trial on Friday to leave them in joint 6th place along with Guy Williams and Geoff Billington amongst others.
