Conformation

History
This wonderful heavy horse takes its name from Clydesdale through which the Clyde river runs in Lanarkshire, which is in Scotland. They have been used in agriculture for many years as well as for draught and forest work. Nowadays they are show and display horses as well as being ridden under saddle.

The Clydesdale Horse Society
The Clydesdale Horse Society was founded in 1877 and works to help protect and preserve this beautiful breed. The society also offers information on breeding, events and shows.
