Frankie Dettori MBE
Frankie Dettori is one of the most successful and popular thoroughbred race jockeys who has won many major races such as the Ascot Gold Cup, the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe and the Breeders' Cup Classic to name but a few. He is also famous for his individual leaping dismount.
On the 28th of September at Ascot in 1996 Dettori won all seven of his races a feat which had never been accomplished before.
Frankie Dettori was awarded with an honorary MBE (Most Excellent Order of the British Empire) on the 29th of December 2000.
