William Fox-Pitt Wins Badminton Horse Trials
Great Britain's William Fox-Pitt has won this years Mitsubishi Motors Badminton Horse Trials riding the stunning stallion Chilli Morning.

Fox-Pitt who posted a 39.0% dressage score had been in second place after the dressage and put in a clear cross country round with no time penalties allowing them to keep their spot in second place and piling the pressure onto Andrew Nicholson for New Zealand who had led the dressage phase after two days competition after posting a dressage score of 37.8% riding Nereo.

Andrew who is well known for his skillful cross country riding and ability to go inside the time did not disappoint and kept his lead going into the the final phase on Sunday.

However a brilliant clear round from Chilli Morning left Nereo nothing to spare and after an unfortunate 3 fences down the leader for three days slipped down the leader board to 6th place allowing William Fox-Pitt to finish on his dressage score of 39%.

Second place went to a very deserving Ingrid Klimke for Germany riding the popular Horseware Hale Bob who also finished on there dressage score of 40.2% after performing a super clear show jumping round.

Jonathan Paget for New Zealand finished in third place riding Clifton Lush with Mark Todd in fourth riding Leonidas II and Bettina Hoy (GER) finished in fifth place riding Designer 10. Last years winner Sam Griffiths finished in 10th place this year riding Paulank Brockagh.
