Paget Wins The British Eventing Open Championship
Jonathan Paget from New Zealand has stylishly won this year's British Open Championship at Gatcombe Park ahead of an impressive field of competitors.

Paget who won the formidable Badminton Horse Trials in May on Clifton Promise was riding the 14 year old chestnut gelding Clifton Lush who finished 14th at Badminton this year and who is sired by Half Iced and owned by Lucy Allison and Frances Stead.

The pair produced a dressage score of 37.3 with a clear show jumping round and only added 4 penalty time faults during their cross country round to finish just ahead of Oliver Townend riding Armada to clinch the prestigious title.

Australia's Sam Griffiths was third riding the experienced Happy times and Andrew Hoy was 4th riding the smart bay 11 year old gelding Cheeky Calimbo who was 13th in the CICO 3* at Houghton International in May as well as 1st in the Advanced class at Chatsworth International earlier in the year.
