Badminton Cancels Stallion Parade
The Mitsubishi Motors Badminton Horse Trials has opted to cancel the popular stallion parade as an extra safety precaution after the recent but contained outbreak of Equine Herpes Virus on the site.

As an added safety measure following on from the outbreak of EHV-1 at the Beaufort Hunt Stables the organisers have decided to cancel the popular stallion parade due to the stallions having to warm up and perform in the same areas as many of the worlds leading event horses. The ridden display of the stallions which is organised by the Sport Horse Breeding of Great Britain will hopefully return next year.

The prestigious 4* event is due to start in less than two weeks and has already issued a provisional starting list for cross country day which has Great Britain's Oliver Townend first on the course riding the impressive Armada, closely followed other leading British riders Kristina Cook (GBR) riding De Novo News, Mary King on Imperial Cavalier, William Fox Pitt and the return of Pippa Funnell on Mirage D'Elle, who will all be amongst some of the early riders out on the course.
